Community of Practice – Management of Osteoporosis and Fracture Prevention in LTC
Fractures related to osteoporosis are a leading cause of morbidity in older adults. In this session, Dr. Alexandra Papaioannou will highlight evidence-based strategies for diagnosing and managing osteoporosis in long-term care residents, with a focus on fracture prevention. Participants will review pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, fall prevention approaches, and practical strategies for implementing best practices in LTC settings.
