Community of Practice – MANAGEMENT OF INSOMNIA

Sleep disturbances are common in older adults and can significantly impact quality of life and overall health. This session will review the latest approaches to assessing and managing insomnia in long-term care residents. Participants will explore behavioral, environmental, and pharmacological strategies, while considering safety, comorbidities, and the unique challenges of managing insomnia in LTC populations.

This one-credit per hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+ credit.

To be eligible for credit:
Participants must remain available for the entire duration of the session. A mandatory post-session survey must be completed in order to receive your certificate.
