DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe OLTCC Medical Director Course is designed to prepare physicians working in long-term care to be informed and skilled Medical Directors. With a thorough knowledge of the sector and development of appropriate skills, LTC medical directors will improve the quality of care for residents in their facilities. \nRegister for the Medical Director Course (In Person)\nThe OLTCC’s Medical Director Course is mandated by the Ministry of Long Term Care for all Medical Directors in Ontario to take the course within a year of being in their position, or those that have not yet taken the course and have been a Medical Director for a number of years.  Here is the link to that legislation and what it outlines: Section 251 (1) #4 https://www.ontario.ca/laws/regulation/220246#BK311\nThis course is open to all Medical Directors, Incoming Medical Directors, Nurse Practitioners and others.\nRegistration Fees\nFunding for all Medical Directors and incoming Medical Directors, including travel expenses, are provided by the Ministry of Long-Term Care so their registration fee is waived. \nFor all other clinical positions, the course fee is $1200.00 plus HST and travel expenses are not included.\nSchedule\nThe course runs 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
