DESCRIPTION:Sleep disturbances are common in older adults and can significantly impact quality of life and overall health. This session will review the latest approaches to assessing and managing insomnia in long-term care residents. Participants will explore behavioral, environmental, and pharmacological strategies, while considering safety, comorbidities, and the unique challenges of managing insomnia in LTC populations.\nCOP is now accredited!\nThis one-credit per hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Ontario Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+ credit.\nTo be eligible for credit:\nParticipants must remain available for the entire duration of the session. A mandatory post-session survey must be completed in order to receive your certificate.\nRegistration is required to attend. Only registered participants will be sent the Teams link prior to the session.\n
